Prerequisites: Must be proficient in BLS skills. Initial or renewal ACLS students may take this course.
Online course duration: Approximately 6 to 8 hours, depending on the level of proficiency.
Audience: Advanced Cardiovasular Life Support (ACLS) is designed to provide education to a wide variety of healthcare students, medical professionals, EMS, and other personnel working in healthcare occupations where this training is required.
What is covered: Team dynamics and communication, systems of care, management of cardiac arrhythimas, resuscitation, and the immediate post-cardiac arrest care are covered with special emphasis on the prevention of cardiac arrest.
Completion card: ACLS Provider eCard is issued immediately at the end of the in-person skills session; eCard is valid for two years.
Notes: Part 1 of this course is taken ONLINE through eLearning.Heart.org with the access code supplied with your registration. The in-person Skills Session (Parts 2 and 3) will be completed at our training facility after completing Part 1 and scheduling a Skills Session for Parts 2 and 3. Instructions for registering for the skills session are provided in the confirmation email sent after registering.

You will be issued the same American Heart Association ACLS Provider eCard after completing the in-person skills session as you would at the end of the classroom-based version of this course.
If you would like to renew your BLS Provider eCard, select the option below to have an additional BLS keycode link emailed to you along with your registration. The in-person skills portion will be done during your skills session appointment for ACLS, and you will be issued both BLS and ACLS eCards at that time.
